What this site does

Travel Ready Checker is a free set of tools that helps travellers work out whether they are prepared for an international trip. It began as a passport validity calculator — built because travellers are routinely denied boarding for a passport that is unexpired but no longer has enough remaining validity — and now covers visas, transit, permitted stay, documents, health requirements, insurance, budget, currency, time zones, weather, packing and emergency information.

How we handle accuracy

Travel rules change constantly, and a confident wrong answer at an airport is worse than no answer at all. So we follow three rules:

• Time-sensitive data (exchange rates, weather) is fetched live from public data feeds and timestamped so you can see how fresh it is.
• Requirements are only named where a long-standing official programme clearly applies — for example ESTA, the Canadian eTA, Schengen short-stay exemptions, or a government e-Visa portal. Each result links to the official source.
• Where a requirement depends on details we cannot verify, we say we could not determine it and send you to the official immigration authority instead of guessing.

Privacy

The checkers run in your browser. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not store your passport number, expiry date or trip details on a server. See our Privacy Policy for details on analytics and advertising cookies.

Corrections and contact

If you spot an out-of-date rule, a missing country or a broken official link, please tell us through the contact page. Corrections from travellers are the fastest way this site improves.
